"I had procrastinated for almost a year and now the 70th birthday surprise celebration for my Mother was a month away. I knew that I would have to rely greatly on the help of a dependable caterer specializing in the traditional Haitian cuisine that most of my family were connoisseurs of. Having experienced her service twice before in North Jersey, I was quick to track down Yanique Morency to help. Immediately after speaking with her by phone, I felt that I had a personal assistant in my party planning. By email she sent me my menu options. Everything from hors d’ oeuvres to drinks were covered. Her setup was professional and classy. The entrées were tasty and plentiful, and the cleanup complete. Yanique is a wonderful caterer, a warm person and for me a lifesaver. She really pulled through for me, I am grateful to have met her. It was a nerve wrenching day because of the traffic problems for many but all turned out wonderful in the end. My Mother continues to talk of the party till today.

The delectable food created by Yanique Morency, proprietor of Kreyol kitchen has pleasantly surprised my gourmet pallet because of her fine blend of down home cooking, coupled with the unique taste of her Caribbean spices. Her dishes such as chicken Creole dish with green peppers and onions, black rice, (djon djon) conch dish, and acra (fritters) made me feel like I was back in Brooklyn, home of a large Caribbean community, producing some of the best chefs, and restaurants in the country, if not the world. It does not surprising to me that Yanique was once a resident of that Caribbean community, producing some of the most scrumptious dishes on this side of the water. My taste buds still recall the "Soup Joumou" with beef that was superb. I wish I had sampled the chicken version as well, but then I might have lost track of the reasons I had organized the event in the first place and settled instead for its associated gastronomic pleasures. Even the coffee tasted great. The biggest reason that I would recommend Kreyol Kitchen to prospective event planners however was your readiness to assist in every possible way to insure that the event would not be lacking for anything, as far as your team could help it. From the moment I contacted you as one of the prospective caterers to the close of the event, your response was so courteous, friendly, and helpful that I came to think of you as a true partner.
